How to measure
Chest: To measure your chest accurately, first wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest, usually just under your armpits and between your nipples. Make sure the tape is snug, but not too tight, and make sure it runs parallel to the ground. Measure your chest circumference in inches or centimeters.
Arm length: To measure arm length, stand with a relaxed posture and bend your arm slightly at the elbow. Start at the edge of your shoulder where it meets your upper arm, then run the measuring tape down the length of your arm to the tip of your wrist. Make sure the band follows the natural contour of your arm without being too tight or too loose. Record the measurement from shoulder to wrist.
Shoulders: To measure shoulder width, stand naturally with relaxed arms at your sides. Stretch the measuring tape horizontally across your back, starting at the tip of one shoulder and extending to the tip of the other shoulder. Make sure the tape is straight and level and measure the full width of your shoulders in inches or centimeters.
Waist: To measure your waist, find the narrowest part of your waist, which is usually the area above your belly button and below your rib cage. Wrap the measuring tape around this part of your waist, making sure it is snug but not pinched. Take the measurement in inches or centimeters, recording the circumference of your waist.
Length: To measure the length of the jacket, start at the bottom of the collar, tape down the back, and note the desired end point for accurate sizing.
Lower Waist: To measure your lower waist, find the widest part of your waist, which is usually around your hip bone. Wrap the measuring tape around this area, making sure it fits snugly. Take your measurement by recording the circumference of your lower waist in inches or centimeters.
Hips: When measuring your hips, wrap the measuring tape around your hips and the fullest part of your bottom, usually just above the tops of your legs. Make sure the tape runs parallel to the ground and is not too tight or too loose. Record the measurement in inches or centimeters and note your hip circumference.
These detailed instructions will help you accurately measure different parts of your body for clothing or sizing purposes. Remember to keep the tape tight, but not too tight, and make sure to follow the natural contours of your body for the most accurate measurement.
